They haven't yet.
There have been sex ed programs in school at least since 1985. (That's when I started having them, it could have been sooner than that)

Of course they can!! Have you seen some of the questions on here? There are so many young girls that don't know how you can even get pregnant or how their bodies work. They think they can get pregnant by just touching another's privates. Or they think that just because they never had a period they can never get pregnant or that they only had sex once. Sex education can help inform them of the big responsibilities that come along with sex. I do believe that it is also important for parents to talk to their kids. But not all parents do. So, sex education is very important. Will it help everyone no of course not. But if it can help prevent at least one teen pregnancy per class. It's well worth it!!!

No, sex ed is just for the kids who actually listen.... there are still babies out there having babies... we have sex ed in our school and my niece is 17 married and 3 kids so no sex ed isn;t help to all kids.... but the parents need to talk with the kids as well an let them know what could happen pregnancy std's all of it.... Most kids think sex ed is a joke they laugh an make fun of the things in the books and the movies... So to the ones who listened and paid attention they will have no worries and the ones who goofed off will end up with kids and std's prolly/

Well personally, I think it has maybe helped a few of the girls in our area. However, there are 13 and 14 year old girls getting pregnant and 16 and 17 year old girls having their second child. So, I don't think it has too much of an impact. However, if it just helps one then I guess that's one less. I believe that a lot of the kids turn sex education class into a joke and don't take it as seriously as they should.

probably not when teens are in the moment so to speak the last thing that they are going to think about was what they learned in sex ed...it helps to educate them in hopes to get them to better protect themselves and make them aware of the consequences if they dont but as far as it preventing pregnancy...i doubt it they are either going to use protection or not going to...not to mention there are cases where they try to protect themselves but the condom brakes, or they get pregnant on birth control...sex education should be taught to make teens aware...not to prevent them from having sex....they need to know the only way to FOR SURE not get pregnant is to save themselves until they are ready to get pregnant, and decide for themselves if they are going to make the decision to save themselves, or deal with the possible consequences if they dont!

Yep, it's helpful especially if the students listens to the class. Awareness of the consequences should deter them but I guess it's also with carelessness and raging hormones that they choose to ignore what they've learned.
