teenaged son is making something out of a light bulb and salt at 1am in his bedroom. Sneaky. What could he be making? He is very computer savvy. Told me it was a carburettor enhancement thingy! Do I believe him?

The light bulb appreared to have the base metal screw-in part disassembled . . .not for illumination

metal part of a glass light bulb removed......im betting it wasnt salt... sounds more like a makeshift crak pipe to me....

My first thoughts would be that he is drying something out, salt can be used in much the same way as blotting paper and the light would obviously help
