I told a good friend that she is my type when we discussing our friendship and what it should be. I told her I did not want anything more than a friendship, but ever since she found out, she has been getting closer to me as a friend.

She obviously likes you as more than a friend. She is hoping that if she tries harder then you will change your mind and give your relationship a try. Maybe it wasn't a good idea for you to have told her that she was your type if you didn't have feelings for her. Sit down and as politely as possible tell her that you treasure her friendship and do not have romantic feelings for her. Although it may be hard for her to hear I'm sure she will respect you for your honesty. Good Luck!

Telling a girl "she is your type," and then saying you don't want anything more than a friendship may tend to confuse a girl into thinking you do want something more than a relationship. If you don't want a relationship with her, then you can't really say she's your type. Basically, you more than likely confused her into thinking you're interested in her.

She wants to be more than just friends and she thinks she can change your mind. Or she thinks since you told her She was your type, you were too scared to go any further and she's trying to help you out. You are giving mixed signals here. If you don't like her like that, quit saying she is your type. You are leading her on. If you don't want to go any further, tell her your sorry for leading her on, you didn't mean to. Let her find someone that likes her as much as she likes them.

the answer is simple she wants you and knows she cant have you but wants you so much more because she knows she cant have you thats how alot of girls work they want you more when they know they cant have you see your mistake was telling her that she was your type and that you didnt want anything more than a friendship

well i am guessing that she just wants to be with someone who cares about her. You obviously do care...but now that your trying to push her off...its wrong...then she is gonna think you don't really like her, she'll drift away and you'll feel bad. But don't try and push her off. Talk to her and say you want things to go just nt so fast thats all.
