What is wrong with my computer-cannot get some websites?

I have a laptop that works fine at work but when i bring it home there are certain web sites i cannot get such as google. My wifes computer works fine at home it is only mine. I think i turned off the firewall but it still does not work. this is a recent problem with this computer it always worked fine before and i have made no changes to it. HELP!!!!!

you might need to set up a connection for it at on your home network which is not uncommon

Clean out the temporary ineternet files / internet history and also the cookies
