The disk cleanup compacts, gets rid of unneeded files, deletes recylce bin, and temp internet files if select them. It Does Not delete any of your personal files.

It cleans up your hard drive by scanning and deleting any unwanted files that are no longer in use by the computer. Of course, you have the options to keep the files you want without deleting them.

it will delete the files permanently, and yes it deletes some useful settings also! But it is great if ur on edge of size limit.

I think it only deletes them. I see no options on the program (which I still like) to make several passes over the hard disk space with random data like Eraser does.

it's a great program. safe to use it deletes files. gone for good. one warning though, you might want to tell it to leave your internet cookies alone, if not you will have to log in to your web sites again.
