I have an 80gig hard drive which I have most of my programs installed on, but not my operating system. I want to replace it with a 200gig hard drive but do know how to do this without re-installing everything. Any ideas?

Yes indeed it is possible. I use Acronis all the time. They have a FULL FUCTION free trial at the link below. It will format the 200gb drive and simply copy an EXACT IMAGE of your 80 gb drive to it with the additional space free.

Yes. There are countless programs out there that can do this. First of all, I would visit the new hard drive's manufacturer web site. Most of of them have a downloadable free utility to do exactly this.

If not, here is a free one :

If your OS is not on the drive in question, you would just have to install the new disk along with the old, format the new disk, copy your stuff, then remove the old disk and change the drive letter to whatever the old one was to begin with.
