Hi!
I have been trying to play videos on my new computer (Windows XP) but on some sites, all I get is a green jigsaw piece-shaped logo asking me to download plugins.
Thing is I click on it and it says "No suitable plugins found". There is also a "manual install " button which leads me to a page with windows downloads. I have downloaded the Windows media player 11, but it makes no difference.
I've also downloaded Flash, Quicktime, Java and Shockwave. But no success.

Could anyone help, please? I would really appreciate it! Cheers in advance!

You should download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, you can get it for free here http://j.mp/1sxRSqt

Adobe Flash Player is often responsible for video issues on pc. For instance I had lots of black screens on youtube. I tried to figure out the reasons myself as people keep saying very different things on the topic. In my opinion the problem is not youtube, it's something in your computer that it's not working properly and must be updated. I am sure that if you update adobe flash player you will be able to fix all your problems and your videos will start working again.

I think you forgot to download the Real Player. And also, the Plugin-Finder service in Firefox is useless. It is better to identify the missing plugin yourself.

hmmm go to net ... there are many ways ... you could rapidshare for pluggins that people have uploaded

but make sure you require two sets of pluggins

videos and audios for u to play most of the formats...

and if u using firefox ... as ur browser then firefox automatically finds the pluggins required at times...
