His first six or seven albums were nothing short of brilliant.
He's reached that plateau that a lot of musical artists in his age range have, and that is they have simply stopped being creative. He's filthy rich, so he's got little to motivate him or inspire him. He can put out crap album after crap album, slap his name on it, and it will sell. Then he can tour and play the same songs he's played for 30 years. Just like KISS, just like Aerosmith, just like Rod Stewart (except he's performing OTHER people's music now, instead of his own -- again, not creative), etc.
Besides, he's become quite the queen in his old age, hasn't he?

I like Elton John...but his music has sucked for 30 years now.

Yes, I've been a huge fan since the 70s. He's a musical genius. His music is so heartfelt, and he's never been afraid to try something new. I also admire how he's fought his way out of alcohol and drugs, and has turned his life around to start his aids foundation, and to help with many other charities. I know the media plays up his rants and tirades, but I think he really does have a big heart.

Seeing how I have his Greatest Hits album I would say the answer to that is Yes. I have always loved his music I think mainly because it has the piano in it, plus the man has a decent voice.

I never really listened to him much. He's pretty hilarious. I love when he sings Stan with Eminem, Elton's a pretty cool dude.

Yes I do, I used to have all his albums, I used to get teased a lot because I was a fan of his, but I didn't care, he's got some good songs!!

Im not a fan but how can anyone not like him? He's a good singer, does good stuff for charity and seems to be an all round nice bloke!
