Usually I buy great presents, but this year I have no money at all, not even enough for silly presents.
I still want to give something to my friends and family but not sure what to make them... Any creative (but 'do-able') ideas??

Now, people are on the same wave-length as me as I was thinking Chocolate brownies nicely wrapped... BUT choco brownies aren't very christmasy.
Any ideas on recipes that could make it all a bit more festive??

Chocolate chip cookies.
Make sweet bread without yeast. Just put the dough together in a greased bread pan and bake. There are cinnamon breads, nut breads, etc. They take about an hour to bake, and people really like them.
Write a poem or a fiction story.
Or research their first name or last name and copy down the facts onto some special paper. Then for the latter, you can look up their coat of arms and replicate it with your own colored pencils and ink or just copy it from the computer and frame either one.
You can also make the frame too. Or make an ornament.
Get some pinecones and hot glue them together to make a wreath or even a miniature tree. People love miniature trees! Add a ribbon here and there for decoration.
Christmas isn't just about buying expensive presents. Being creative and making something that is tailored for that individual
will be very much appreciated.

I think a picture of yourself is a great idea..think about it-when was the last time you had your portraits done? After high school people kinds stop doing pictures and my mom is always begging me to do them. That's one of those things that friends and family always will appreciate.
JC Penny's and Sears do a great job and don't cost very much ($10-15) if you get the standard package with just one pose. If things are VERY tight, Wal-Mart does portraits for like $6 or $7. They are not as good, but they do the trick. But hurry because they take a couple weeks to come back. Check online for coupon offers.
Put the photos in the cards and Boom! Instant Christmas gifts!!!
If you don't have the time for portraits, try getting cards made with your photo on them. They run about $15-30 from my experience.

You could make Ginger Biscuits. They go hard so you can put a hole through them and hang them on the Xmas tree. Get some festive cookie cutter and then decorate them with icing, sprinkles etc..They look lovely, they're cheap to make, they can be used as a decoration and then taste great when you eat them. Just google a ginger biscuit recipe.

I am making coffee baskets for my friends. They are costing about $3 apiece. I got mugs and baskets at the dollar store and then the rest of the items I bought in bulk. I got coffee that I ground and then mixed with mint and cinnamon to make it fun and special. Then I added chocolate mints and liquor flavored stir sticks. They are fun to put together and special. Then I made fun cards to go with them. You should try something like that. Personalized gifts are the best :) Good luck and Merry Christmas

If you dont have any money and you want to get the Best gift, You could make them there favorite food. Or you can loook around the house and see if you can find some stuff that is not needed anymore and make them something that you know they will like. Or if you dont like any of those ideas you could ask a close friend for some extra change.

Find some nice sheets of writing paper or even printer paper, cut each sheet of paper into at least 10 strips for each person, on each strip of paper write something nice you love or like about that person, why they make you laugh, why you need them etc, put the strips of paper in individual envelopes with the persons name on ready to give out as pressies for Christmas, all it costs is words from your heart, meaningful and a treasure to keep for years to come, good luck.

You could...
-knit scarves,
-make jelly,
-paint a light bulb into a snowman, maybe make it into an ornament
-make beeswax candles with sparkles,
-bake (I think choco brownies are Christmasy)
-fudge
-for little girls, decorate plain hairclips with puff paint and glitter
-use embroidery thread and small beads to make rings-also for little girls...
-pressed flowers in a frame
I hope I gave you the right kind of ideas. Good Luck!

I can relate to your situation, and your getting ready to finally understand what Christmas is all about. Your family is so lucky to have someone that cares enough to love them as you do. I am confident God will give you the direction you need here if you will only seek His will. God Bless you this Christmas, and have a Merry one.
