They cry, open their eyes, their color changes as their blood flow regulates...
I dont really know what you mean, its not like they physically mutate or something. THey get cleaned up, checked for defects, are swaddled and nursed and allowed to rest after the painful ordeal of birth.

The head starts to take normal shape and I think their skin changes color little bit (my kids were kinda purple when born and the color started to change within minutes after birth).
