What is the function of facial paints for the Human female?

Question

Why do not the males utilize facial paints? Thes paints are used to attract, correct? Would not a male desire to paint his face to attract a mate as well as a female? How are they applied?

It's just not commonly accepted for males in our society to wear "facial paints" or make up as it's more commonly referred to. Maybe some day society will allow for such behavior but now it's not. :)=
