For a casual boot, try one that is fleece lined. And you don't have to buy an Ugg boot if you don't like the styles. Several other brands make them.

Then make sure you are wearing warm socks. Try cashmere, wool, or argyle (100% or blends) instead of regular cotton or nylon. Ugg boots, you will not believe how comfortable and warm they are, just try them on at least.

I know people say they are passe', but I love my Uggs -- very, very warm and cozy!!
