Green tea is very good for you, you just have to look at the answers already posted to see that.
In my opinion though it is not the nicest tasting thing to drink. There is another tea called Redbush tea or Rooibos tea (depanding where you buy it.) One particular brand called Yogi tea is brilliant. There are different varieties available containing all different herbs and spices and they taste divine, my personal fave...African spice. They can also be drunk like regular tea (with milk and suger) if desired. Rooibos tea also contains alot more antioxidants than gree tea.
It's available in all good health stores.

One thing I've discovered from personal experience is that green tea seems to act as a diuretic, ie it encourages lots and lots of peeing. Very useful when I'm trying to get over a bout of cystitis.
