Alright, one week exactly from today is my due date. As of now, I can't sleep right, I'm waddling, having contractions - but none are regular, I can't eat right (I've been getting sick) and yesterday after buying my first Victorias Secret Bra... My breasts are beginning to Leak. There goes $60! haha!! Does this mean I'm about to start labor (hopefully!) or does this have anything to do with dialating? Im just curious, I thought you weren't supposed to "leak" or "let down" BEFORE Birth?! WHATS GOING ON? Help Please & Thanks! :)

You can leak MONTHS before giving birth so that isn't really going to tell you how close you are. I think I started leaking as early as 7 months along with one of my babies.

Your breasts can leak any time. I'm about 4 weeks from my due date and mine leak if I lay on my side too long and squish them. It's all about your body getting ready for baby. I don't think it has anything to do with labor, though. But, I did read that stimulation of the nipples can induce labor - it created oxytocin in your body.
If you're a week away from your due date, the baby could come any time, anyway! Good luck.

Some women leak during pregnancy and some don't. Either is normal. Either mom can produce milk just fine postpartum. (And leaking and letting down aren't necessarily the same.) Get some breastpads to wear in your bra to protect it. (NOT nipple shields. Nipple shields are for moms with inverted/flat nipples.) When/if you leak really doesn't say anything about when you will go into labor.
ETA:
Also, I think most VS bras have underwires in them these days. An underwire bra isn't the best idea postpartum as it can end up causing plugged ducts.

You can definitely start to leak as early as your fourth month of pregnancy. It's just your breasts getting ready for the baby! You are leaking colostrum, which the baby will need in order to stay healthy. After 2-4 days of nursing, you will begin to make breast milk for the baby. The colostum and breast milk both contain incredible health benefits for the baby, so try to nurse as long as possible. Nursing will also help you lose the baby weight and get back into those VS fashions!

Leaking is normal, and doesn't seem to indicate anything as to impending labor. Mine leaked a bit before my kids were born. The nurses at my hospital just said, "Oh great! You'll have lots of milk for you baby!" Invest in some nursing pads. And best wishes to you and your new baby!

Well soon you will give birth. Thats what thats saying. Also you can get the breastmilk out of your new bra by using baby detergent such as Dreft on it. Unfortunately you can start to "leak" quite a while ahead of birth so it doesnt mean its today or anything.

I started leaking when I was only about 5 months along! Talk about a pain in the butt. I think it just depends on your body because everyone is different.

its called colostrum. it's basically "pre-milk" and for the first few days before you milk comes in its supposed to be the best thing for baby other than regular breastmilk.
I dont think you're going i nto labor, but I do think that your body is sending you signals that "hey mama, its almost time!"
Sucks about the bra. I know how ya feel, I bought a vickies secret bra, soooo comfy, fit perfectly...and well. now, in one week, My boobs are too big for it.

Each pregnancy is different. I began to leak at 4 months. I believe it's a sign that birth is so close and your body is getting fully ready for this big event! best to you.....
