Christmas is a time to celebrate when Jesus Christ was born. It's a good opportunity for some to spend time with loved ones also. Most of all, it's a time for kids to experience to true Christmas spirit!

Christmas, to me is truly about the togetherness and celebration of the birth of Christ. For those reasons, Christmas begins on the 24th, or the day that my family celebrates the Feast of the Seven Fishes. We gather and have a meatless meal as purification and enjoy each others company by sharing laughter, stories, and creating memories.

Christmas to me is about showing the people I love that I care for them. I love thinking of gifts that they will really like and I love shopping for them.

It is a wonderful time of year when people are more friendly and generous and there is excitement in the air.
There are also wonderful smells sights and sounds at Christmas.

It is of course the birthday of Jesus and it makes me think of the good side of humans that we place such importance on a man that preached love and kindness.

Religious or not it is a wonderful time. I feel sorry for those who don't enjoy it.

For me, Christmas is a time to reunite with family, and set aside all differences and animosity for at least one day, and enjoy our life. To reflect on the past and look toward the future. To share the joy of having this life, and come together and help each other remember what we are here for. In our family, christmas begins with a family worship, and scripture reading.

It's supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but it's also become a reason for families to make the extra effort to get together. If it weren't for Christmas, some families would only get together for funerals.

I'd love to say getting together with your loved ones but in reality, these days it's about eating too much, drinking too much and watching Raiders of the Lost Ark for the hundredth time.

many people have forgotten " the real reason for the season " in modern times as the merchants have gotten increasingly greedy. however there are the joys and pleasures of memories and the gathering of friends and family to make more memories each Christmas.

Celebrating Jesus' birth. However, has become a marketing/commercial ordeal. More and more are trying to push the word "jesus" or "Christmas" out of it.

Christmas is a time for giving and for being kinder and gentler to others, for generousity for those less fortunate than us and charity for others.

Unfortunately, it has become a huge commercial endeavor that I find extremely repugnant. I started seeing Christmas stuff in stores as early as OCTOBER!!!

What it means to me is finally getting to see friends I don't normally see all year, but it also unfortunately means family headaches. Me and Christmas -- a love/hate relationship.
