You really need to see your baby's pediatrician!

It is really hard to say anything when we can't see it. You should definitely see the pediatrician if you're concerned. It could be acne, although my son's was gone by 2.5 months. Now that it's winter (it's cold where I am), my son gets red cheeks all the time that "looks" like a rash, but is just from the cold air. I use Cetaphil lotion twice daily as recommended by his pediatrician. He also sometimes gets little bumps on his cheeks (not acne) when he is drooling from teething a lot and then sleeps in it during naps or nightime. For that, I just wipe with a wet cloth and try to keep his cheeks dry and moisturized with Cetaphil. Nothing else, because too many creams, etc will just make things worse. Babies always get weird rashes, etc. and most times they aren't bad and go away on their own with time.

But again, if you're worried, bring the baby to the dr. for advice.

Baby acne is common and sometimes it just takes time for childs hormones to adjust for the acne to go away. My son had baby acne and I took him to the pediatrician and they prescribed some medicine for him. Eventually it worked but I had to use it exactly as prescribed for it to be of any benefit. Every now and then it would flare back up then I would use the prescription stuff again and it would clear back up. Also make sure that your child doesn't have eczema because there are alot of things (soaps, creams,, clothing, certain foods you eat that filters through your breast milk, ect..) that could irrtate your childs skin and make the treatments ineffective.

Stop using the creams. Its most likely not a rash at all, but infant acne.

She's right about the age where she's getting rid of your left over hormones for her body, and producing her own. A lot of babies get acne. Not all of them get the puss filled sores, they can just be red bumps, sometimes black heads.

Leave them alone. Dont put creams or lotions on her face, and avoid using soaps on it. Use a warm damp cloth to wash her face whenever you have to, and save the soaps for her bath, and use them sparingly on her face.

It'll clear up once her body gets squared away.

It could also be something she's ingesting. Maybe she's allergicto her milk. My daughter used to throw up her milk and get rashes all the time. We found out in October that she's lactose intolerant and has been since she was a baby. She was 16 months then. So I'd get that checked out too.

My first child had that- DR said it was "infant acne" caused by left-over hormones leaving her body. If it doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, that may be it. I used cortisone cream- cleared it up pretty quick.

Take your baby to the doctor's. It could be eczema. My daughter would get it all over her body and the doctor gave us Elidel and cleared it right up. It might also be dry skin depending on where you live b/c of the weather change

My daughter had a rash and it was caused from cradle cap. Check your babies head to see if it has crusty yellow stuff on it's head. You must get rid of the cradle cap to get rid of the rash.

All else fails call your babies Dr.
