Ok, My fiance and I were having sex last night - just as he was ejaculating, the condom broke. He pulled out, but there was alot left in me. I sat up and immediately douched right afterwards. I won't get my period for another 2 weeks. Is there anything I can do to ensure I won't get pregnant without harming myself or having to go to a doctor? I am strongly against abortions, but if I were to get pregnant I either wouldn't be able to carry full term or I could quite possibly die while giving birth. I'd rather adopt.

Secondly, both of my ovaries are killing me today. When I woke up this morning, I could barely walk. There's a pressure on my lower back and it feels like my ovaries are on fire and about to explode. I can't sit up or stand up fully because of this. He was being a bit rough. I don't have health insurance, so help me out here!

No lectures or rude comments. I am an adult and I have the right to make my own decisions. If you don't like it, don't answer.

Where can I get this "morning after" pill? Is it expensive?

Jessie,

I have endometriosis. Half of my uterus is also covered in scar tissue due to an emergency surgery I had to have when I was 6. I have lost 4 babies in the past, with myself having to be hospitalized atleast 2 weeks very time. The second, I hemmoraged for almost 2 days. The third, I passed out unconsious with a 9 month old child in my arms - I was the only one present. I've also had to have a blood transfusion. Alot of people who are told they can't have children or they will have complications are fortunately spared that. I, however am one of the few unlicky ones that this is a reality for. Thanks everyone for your help.

Try the morning after pill. Someone mentioned that Medicaid will not turn you away if you are pregnant. That is very wrong!! The first time I applied, I was turned away. I was 3 months pregnant with our first baby. They are VERY strict on your income. Since you aren't married yet, you will have a much better chance than I did since I'm married. But they can, and will, turn you down if you make too much. I reapplied again at 5 months, and they accepted me. I'm 8 months pregnant now. They do cover all the bills from the time you get accepted. Once you qualify for Medicaid, you can also qualify for the previous 3 months. We didn't qualify for that because of our income. Depending on how much you make monthly, of course without your fiance, you have a good chance of getting accepted for that as well.

Good Luck!!

I think the "morning after" pill is over the counter at most pharmacies.

If your ovaries are hurting, you may be ovulating, and if you are ovulating and had "somewhat" unprotected sex last night, you could get pregnant.

How do you know that either the baby would die, or you would die?
I had a friend who was told by a doctor that if she carried a baby she would die. She has 2 kids and didn't have a single complication.

Edit...
I see. So why haven't they given you a hysterectomy, then? If your uterus is causing you so much health trouble, it seems to me a good doctor would have taken it out already. You poor dear. I feel bad for any young woman that has to deal with those kinds of trouble. My friend (above) has endo also, and no woman in her family made it to 30 with their repro system in tact. My mother in law had a complete hysterectomy at 32 y/o.
Feel better! :)

You can get the pill at a drug store over the counter. I have no idea how much it is. make him pay for it. take a hot hot bath as hot as you can stand don't burn yourself. That should help with the pain. The heat will relax the musels. IF you still feel bad you can go to the ER and they can check you out there. Or some places have a clinic that will see you now and bill you later as much as you can afford at a time. MY sister uses one in NC. Theres also Carenet or planned parent hood that will check you out free or really cheap. But relax. Chances are you are not pregnant after just one slip up. And for you gee wiz file duching will not help make you not pregnant even if you do it right after sex. either will sitting up real fast. Not being mean just thought you would like to know so you don't have to do all that next time. = ) Good luck

I would try for the morning after pill. The pain/pressure you're feeling is probably because you are ovulating, not because of any rough sex. I get that pain every month for about 24-48 hours. Some advil or tylenol will help, as well as staying off your feet as much as you can. You can call your local (closest) Planned Parenthood, and they should be able to set you up with the morning after pill. Good luck!

don't post questions where you may get answers that you don't like/agree with for one, everyone has different views and opinions and sometimes the best answer is one where the person doesn't tiptoe around the issue.

If you aren't due for another period for 2 weeks then most likely you're probably fertile around this time, and if having a kid will kill you then you should see about getting the morning after pill. And if you end up getting pregnant, then you most likely will have to get an abortion to save your life.
You should also see about getting on some type of birth control other than just condomns. That or getting your tubes tied or etc. I mean, if having a kid will kill you you, then you should look into more permanent ways to keep that from happening.
Next thing, try and get on some form of health insurance, medicaid or whatever. There are free clinics out there for people who aren't able to afford health insurance. Never short change yourself, if you are unable to have kids because it'll kill you and you are hurting as badly as you say you are then you need to be seeing a dr. Free or not. But that in itself is up to you to figure out.

Other than that, you gt some serious thinking to do about how to keep yourself from being in this position again. That and getting some form of dr to be following you around.
Hell I was told I couldn't have kids for the same reason, I lost 6 of them, and now I'm pregnant with number two. And number one was born a lil early with no problems whatsoever. So if you are able to get insurance, or see a dr, there may be some sort of treatment out there that could help you.
good luck

endo. I had that, that makes a bit more sense to me now. I can't take birthcontrol as well because of the fact that every different kind I was on, I ended up in the er hemorraging as well.
there are surgeries that can treat it. Most likely the endo is what makes the sex painful and if not treated, it can continue to spread from your uterus, to the fallopian tubes, ovaries and even more odd places, thats what makes periods with endo so painful. There are surgeries to go in and remove the scar tissue. Some drs recommend getting pregnant right after having the surgery because it wipes out whatever remaing scar tissue thats there. it is treatable, you need to get a dr because it will only get worse. I was on so many pain pills and finally when I was 17 they put me on something to make me go into early menopause... try to get in to see a dr, it isnt as hopeless as you think.

See about getting a morning-after pill. Go to a Planned Parenthood if you're worried about the money. When the condom broke, are you sure you got all the pieces? Using a douche won't prevent pregnancy- I know you were panicking and just wanted to try everything (I would, too!) but that's not gonna work. Good luck.

I would say try going to an planned parenthood and getting the morning after pill..explain to them that child birth can be fatal to you that's all! They will be much cheaper then a doctor however you have to take the pill SOON!! On the other hand about your pains and such..it's probably from him being so rough last night..but if you like when you go to planned parenthood or something similar they can check you out as well to make sure everything is ok!! GOOD LUCK and TELL him to be GENTLE ;) HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I would definitely look into the morning after pill. It sounds like the best option for you. Do you know why you are in so much pain? If you don't, you should get that checked out. Just him being rough should not cause you that much pain. I wouldn't think anyway. I guess I don't know just how rough he was. LOL. Well, Good luck with everything. You'll be fine.

Last night, well in that case you can get a morning after pill. I don't know where you live so if you can get it directly from a pharmacy or if you have to go through some institutional way. But the pain, that might be a reason to go see a doctor.

You shouldn't have douched right after - it likely forced his sperm further into your vagina. I would strongly reccomend asking your doctor - ASAP - about the morning after pill, which is just like a normal birth control pill, only in a much higher dose. I would not wait on this at all.
