My arm is lame, my leg is lame..when I have the cpu on the table/desk/worktop, my body gets the jitters, particularly if it is combined with stress..it may take me a day or two to recover from working late hours in this way..how can I create a shield between the user and the console?

In fact, without changing my apparatus, I am interested in making: a) a lead shield for the console and, b) glove for the mouse. I am sure perhaps a later stage one can upgrade, but at present in cases of having to use ordinary pc, keyboard and mouse and monitor, someone can invent a leaded glove, with open fingertips, for extended use, particulary when for instance, Y Answers keeps one locked in for 'ages', or intense data capturing projects.

If you use a modern PC and don't open the case, your PC is already shielded against any RF-radiation.

If you have a very old (tube-)monitor (like before 1994) without a certification for low radiation, try to get a new LCD monitor.

Otherwise there is no need to shield anything, as there is no harmful radiation that must be shielded.

Try to get enough sleep, look after a helthy seat position, make frequent pauses to stretch yourself and your stress symptomps shoud cease.

This sounds like either the sound or vibration of the motors in the computer (fans, hard disk, etc) may be "stressing" you. Put a sound shield between the computer and you, but don't cover the computer as it will overheat. Foam or cork pad under the box. Fans also make more noise as they get older, you may consider asking a computer store to look at noisy components as they usually make more noise before they fail (hard disk bearings scream before they lock up and die)
Or the refresh rate of your monitor is set too low, or you have a low-quality monitor. Increase the monitor's refresh rate using the Display control panel, if you have a CRT - usually 75 Hz or more is good. Flat panels usually cannot increase their refresh rate.
The likelyhood of the EMI (electromagnetic interference or radiation) affecting you is very very low, since computers are allowed to radiate less than cell phones.
You should get up once an hour, flex your muscles and joints, fingers, wrists, etc. Go outside for 2-3 minutes and slowly breathe some fresh air. This helps for any stress.
B complex vitamins may help with your stress level, they help me somewhat.
General exercise twice a week also helps a lot, especially when you get older and exercising gets to be more difficult.

How about using the DVI in newer graphic cards to connect it to a compliant DVI capable big screen tv, combined with a cordless keyboard and mouse, you could sit anywhere, even on your sofa and still use your computer.

so some distance as i recognize there is not a great number of a distinction in any respect. i've got performed the 360 multiplayer and function watched somebody taking part in the laptop version on line and from what I observed there is not any distinction in any respect. it easily relies upon on how nicely you play on the two version.
