When i delete msn messenger from my computer, and then re-install it - why does my old log-ins re-appear?

How can I delete them permanently?

because when you uninstall the program it leaves your profile behind. Uninstall it again and then delete the msn messenger folder in the program files directory.

When you install the msn messenger. It install the files and make a list what it has installed. but when u use the msn various new files like your chat records etc are created. and when you un-install the msn these files are not removed so they reappread when u reinstall.

To remove this do following

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\microsoft\msn messenger remove files from this directory.

they will disappear.

before this make your "hidden files are visible" because application data is hidden folder

for this open my computer the click on tool menu then folder option then click on view tab. now in "hidden files and folder" click "show hidden files and folder" then ok

its in your memory unless u switch that and wipe your drive it will recognize your computer id and log in and there u go-- u may check the preferences of msn to see if the delete history is an option
