Webroot Window Washer is very good and is available from pretty anywhere, store or the Web. It is very stable with Windows XP, and provides a one touch clean-up for the whole computer. There is a scheduler and a "bleach" facility which will overwrite files up to 35 times. Initial cost is about £20. Freebies are OK but the Webroot is better.
