I'm a huge OSU fan. I would have loved to see OSU play USC. I also wouldn't have been opposed to OSU replaying Michigan. Last night when I found out that OSU would play Florida I was soo angry. This should not even be a competition. OSU should win outright. What opinions do you have? All opinions welcome.

We'll see when the game comes.. I LOVE how NOONE is giving Florida a chance when we survived the TOUGHEST schedule in the NATION :
Floridas the better team and is going to win and here's why.....:
Offensive TD's Scored:
FLORIDA - 44
USC - 43
Michigan - 41
Average Yards per Play:
FLORIDA - 6.51
USC - 5.95
Michigan - 5.64
Top 25 Defenses Faced:
FLORIDA - 5
Michigan - 3
USC - ZERO
Losses to UNRANKED teams:
USC - 1
FLORIDA - ZERO
Michigan - ZERO
Losses to Top 15 teams:
FLORIDA - 1
Michigan - 1
USC - ZERO
So it must be a problem with our defense, you say?
Scoring Defenses:
FLORIDA is #4 Nationally (allowing 12.3 per game)
Michigan is #9 Nationally (allowing 14.6 per game)
USC is #13 Nationally (allowing 15.1 per game)
SO...
The University of Florida has scored more Touchdowns than USC or Michigan... gained more yards per play than USC or Michigan... all against much tougher defenses than those faced by USC or Michigan... and has a BETTER DEFENSE than USC or Michigan...
When did it become more important to earn these "style points" (buzz word for what a team that the media wants to put #2 has and a team that the media doesn't want to put #2 does not have, whatever it might be) than to play and beat good competition?

OSU deserves to be there but I don't know about Florida. I guess the BCS just didn't want a rematch from the same conference. It doesn't matter the national championship game will go back to being a boring one sided game either way. OSU should win and all their players as always will probably get arrested afterward. A game like Texas and USC only comes along once in a lifetime. This years National Championship will suck.

First of all, let's discuss your conference's weakness. The Big 10 needs 12 teams with two diviisions and a conference playoff game. The fact that Ohio St did not have to play Wisconsin sucks! If the Buckeyes get by the Badgers then the rematch Big 10 fans wanted between Michigan and Ohio St would have taken place in the conference championship game. Your conference is beghind the times.
As far as Florida being a worthy opponent they are just that. They were banged up pretty bad going through the SEC and now with a month of rest the Gators will be ready for the Buckeyes. I give the edge to Ohio St because of the quarterback but it should be a good game.

OSU will kill them. There is no game. They are going all the way out there just to waste money. That takes a lot of money to get out there. Why not just hand OSU the championship here? They forgot that they want to make it a game so that they can make a lot more money off of it. They didnt want Michigan to go because it would have been a lot better game. Instead they wanted to basically go ahead and hand the OSU the championship. OSU will KILL Florida. Its a waste of money.

Alright, I live and die with OSU. COMPLETELY putting that aside, I would've loved to play USC as well. I did not want to see us play michigan because if we did lose, then what? We're left with everything unanswered. Florida is a good team, there's no doubt about that. But the Buckeyes are unreal. Talent aside. The team is so versatile and extremely deep so it's so tough to know who to cover. We will roll over Florida. I sincerely hope that it's a close game just to watch good football.

The Buckeyes should easily handle Florida. I'll agree with you that Florida doesn't deserve to be in the championship game, but USC doesn't belong their either. Michigan should be playing against the Buckeyes.
Florida just got lucky in the SEC. If Auburn hadn't have had their hot start, I'm sure LSU would have won the SEC title. Even then, though, I'd still say that Michigan deserves a title shot.

Florida deserves to go....one loss in a very tough conference...
I am tired of everyone talking about the screwed up BCS...why can't the presidents and A.D.'s get together and finally make a decision on this problem...every year someone is going to get screwed over this system....we did in 2004 when we went 13-0 in the SEC and Oklahoma and USC played for it and USC only played 2 to 3 good teems that year..
This system S U C K S!!!

I got to say it was the right choice Florida lost their one game early in the season michian lost at the end that should of moved them down to the lost spot of the one lost teams. Lets say osu lost to mich the poll would of move osu to 6 everyone would move up. To me the bcs sucks. I say they need a playoff system. Take the top 8 rank teams have a playoff that tell who is the best.

I currently attend UF so I see how hard the team works. UF might have gotten in by a tail but we deserve to play in the national championship. We deserve it more than USC (we did not lose to an unranked team, I do not care if it was a rival game) and Michigan had their chance (who wants to watch a game with a definite outcome). Despite what people think the outcome of the game will be, UF deserves to play in the national championship. Besides, you never know, we might win, look at USC/UCLA....

A better game would have been OSU vs. Michigan. OSU may as well leave their starters at home to make it a close game.
