It could be a simple search like a television show and i'll google it and it'll send me to some other search engine telling me they couldn't find what I was looking for and maybe the following will help.

Why is this happening all of a sudden and how can I stop it! It happens almost every time. Is it a virus?

You probably got your pc infected with spyware.
Free programs or smileys or screensavers often come bundled with software that tries to guide you to pages, where you should buy stuff from advertisers.
Often this comes with an added toolbar to your Internet Explorer.

To check for a spyware infection go to lavasoft and download AdAware Personal.

Install the program and scan your PC.

Furthermore, visit Windows Update to keep your Windows updated, so Spyware has fewer chances to alter your Windows settings.

Try to use Firefox for your Internet browsing, as Firefox is much safer against Spyware attacks than Internet Explorer.

Get your computer checked. I had this exact same thing happen and it ended up being a worm, and I ended up having to reinstall everything on my computer. If you have anti-spam/virus programs, now's the time to run them!

No its the NxT worse thing to a virus.
Its Malware and Spyware.

Some sites pop up showin you wat ur lookn for....
if you happen to click on them they might hack into your computer and start using your space

so get a popup blocker...which will block these sites from appearing and irritating you...

You can get any blocker you want from
www.brothersoft.com/downloads/block-web-sites.html

Hope that answers your question.

plz rate me if this Helps

PS: dont download spyware as suggested(its worse than installin a VIRUS...trust ME...its like a parasite which lives on the expense of ur PC)
It makes things worse and creates havoc on your computer
