I know that at least indirectly Cezanne influenced cubism because Picasso had seen his works in the 1904 Salon d'Automne. Picasso also was acquainted with Georges Braque who had made a very close study of Cezanne's technique in producing blocks of colour together including visiting L'Estaque so that he could paint the same landscape as Cezanne. Picasso and Braque have been seen as the inventors of Cubism but as they were so heavily influenced by Cezanne he earns the title "father of modern art".
