US policy exerts greater influence on UK policy than vice-versa, and I'd imagine, not really having a say, that the UK answerers are more motivated to have themselves heard on things that affect them, but they can't control.
Also, the US is famously narcissistic in our world view, simply because our geography means most of us can live our lives with minimal interaction with foreigners.

Becuase they are more social than U.S. Citizens. And as sad as it is, some of us dont realize the importance of knowing about other countries. Some of us are more concerned about celebs and their drama, than world news and events. Some of us would rather drive a huge SUV than to try and minimize the effects of global warming for the sake of our childrens children. We have become an arrogant nation. And arrogance is never a good trait. We are to comfortable with our liberties and our rights. We need to be knowledgeable to fight to maintain them or we will be the ones with a national I.D. card and cameras on our every move. Also students are required to do reports on current affairs, The war is current and it has many options for good research. Some of them could be people from the U.S. living in the U.K. answering those questions. Such as celebs and military members. Things that we do effect other countries. So they are just being smart by educationg themselves. And some may even do it for humor.

Probably, like most intellegent ppl in the world , they wish to learn more about other nations. This would exclude a great many Americans I fear. The average American has no idea , for example, which country supplies them with more oil than any other. The press, in other nations keep their citizens informed more so than the American Press.

My guess: they're a better educated group who is more interested in world affairs. They see Y Answers as an opportunity to share views with people in other countries. More importantly, UK participants are real people, not paid partisans like so many US answerers.

Americans take for granted the fact that the US is the world superpower, so to them, all of the other countries mean little or nothing. I'm an American, and I have to say that it's a crying shame.

U.S. users are self absorbed in their cosy little worlds.
The US has become too complacent. China will soon overtake them as the world's greatest power. A European Superstate would put US down to third place. Japan have shown they have the potential to put the US down to forth.
The US will lose their geographical advantage in military conflicts with the advent of improved aviation and missile technology. North Korea is closer to the US than the UK.

USA is very interesting? They are inquisitive? They like to learn about people and different cultures. They live on a tiny Island that has been divided into three or four countries. Wales Ireland scotland england, etc, etc.
It is about the size of main. We have two states Texas and Alaska that is bigger than there continent. More people more room. All those people jammed into a tiny space. With cameras to show their every move. They hardly can get by with the stuff we do.

It's better to speak out on subjects you experience first hand than to speculate on things that you've only heard through media and other second hand sources....
