a whitboard is to control sales as part of a insentive usually there are targets on show and the board is used to see your progress

A white board is a blackboard but is white and you use marker pens instead of chalk. ie you can rub out the sales lies if anyone questions you!

I don't know if it has a universal definition, but in my office it's where salespeople write up their sales every week as they close them.
