I think a large percentage of married people are unhappy. No one is going to be happy 100% of the time. I think too many people go into marriage with this 'idea' in their head or thinking only about the wedding itself and nothing else.

a marriage is like a business deal... you wouldn't partner up and start a business with just anyone, especially is they are a putz and spend money like it's going out of style... Go into it wisely and with a lot of thought out planning!

I think more people when they are unhappy should be doing more to make their marriages work instead of running when they don't feel happy. They expect to be happy all the time, and it just doesn't happen. I havn't been happy all the time in my marriage, but that doesn't mean I need to run and get divorced because I'm not happy all the time.

I think 90% of all marriages are unhappy. If they are happy they are in a state of denial. My reasoning is this. If you are in marriage that have 0 problems then there is something wrong with that picture (must be swingers or there is some cheating). A marriage is suppose to be stormy on some days and sunny on others. Just because we all are adults it does not mean we all stop growing. Everytime I fight with my husband over simple things he makes me mad enough to back my car over him twice. But on days when we are watching boxing on t.v. and sitting together in the same room. I look at him and I smile because I fall in love with him like when we were teenagers (we are in our 30's).

Why do you want to know about unhappy people?

A good marriage will have all three kinds of love. The husband and wife will experience romantic or erotic love, they will be good friends, and they will manifest the self-giving, self-sacrificing love that is the highest form of love.

Love is not just a dream. You have to work at it to experience true love.

The divorce rate is about 50%.

Let's say they finally decided staying together and working it out wasn't going to happen.

Of the remaining 50% of couples... I'm going to say about 25% of them aren't happy, but not unhappy enough to do anything about it.

I think that there are a lot of people involved in marriages that are unhappy. I also think that those same people stay in the marriage because they chose to honor the vow they made before God and the commitment they made with and to their spouse. Vows are important in the sight of God, and he honors them when we take them seriously. You won't need someone to tell you if you are in love with someone. I can't wait until I see my potential husband, I want to hear his voice, and want to spend a lot of time with him. I am in love and want to spend the rest of my l ife with him, and I didn't need anyone to tell me that!
