i once was going to give my sister a ring so i put it in it's container, wrapped it with newspaper about 25 times so it was bulky and weird shaped, put it in a box, sealed up the box and wrapped it. The box ended up being a metre cubed

the best thing is getting a giant tv box, and putting a ton of packing stuffing in the box. Then throw a tiny box with the present in the bottom of it. Watching people dig through is hilarious - especially the look of confusion ontheir face when their huge box turns out to be a tiny present.

Yeah. I'd put CDs in square boxes. And if I had to get someone socks for Christmas because screw them, I'd put it in a box shaped like a star.
