Yes it is the same as "tennis elbow" Anytime you use a joint over and over it can sometimes becoem inflammed causing bpain. Treatments include "tennis elbow" brace (which actually fits above the elbow) injection of steroids in the joint ( painful) and NSAIDS( Advil). Try a reputable physical therapist or chiropracter to learn new exercises to strength the area.
If you get a brace you should use it for at least 6 weeks

yes. tennis elbow affects the attachment of your foreman extensor muscles (lateral epicondylitus) whereas golfers elbow affects the inside of your elbow where the forearm flexors attach (medial epicodylitus) No need to play golf to get it. Usually caused by a repetitive task that involves a lot of finger of wrist bending. Go see a physio, try applying ice and stretching out the flexors by pulling your wrist and fingers back

Any repetitive motion on the elbow joint can cause "tennis elbow", it is just called tennis elbow because it used to be seen more frequently in tennis players. It's almost the same condition as "housemaid's knee", another old description but obviously applying to the same injury on the knee joint. The proper name for Tennis Elbow is lateral epicondylitis because the lateral epicondyl (outer elbow) is the part which is suffering.

yes very much so it has to do with overuse inflammation and even strains....check with a massage therapist for treaments :)

and yes tennis and golfers are similar one is just medial(inside) the other lateral(outide) elbows

MASSAGE THERAPY! also when it does hurt make sure you use some ice on that boy but not ice to skin of course use a cloth or in a bag whichever but try and take it easy repetitive strain injuries do not go away easily depending on your work and activities you do so consult either a massage or physio therapist perhaps even both theyre similar but completely different at the same time!!
