I will be 24 in January,and my husband will be 32 in February-that's 8 years difference!
And I got pregnate for the first time ,when I was 17 and nothing happend to him!
We got married,and we now have three beautiful daughters together!
It's ALL up to YOU!
If you don't ever give a complaint,NO ONE else can! Because that is your BABY"S father,and you have a right to put him on the birth certificate if you wish or don't wish!It's all in your hands,trust me!I've been there!
Everything will be fine!

I'm answering this because basically everyone else's answers pis$ed me off. I think it's terrible that a 21 yr old man is dating and sleeping with a 16 year old girl for starters. You should not be having sex at 16 just for these reasons alone. Do your parents know that you are seeing him or sleeping with him. He will not just automatically go to jail because you are pregnant. You need to tell your parents or some adult who can advise you or counsel you (boyfriend not included) I wish you luck and I will be thinking about you through the day. If you were my daughter I don't think I would put him in jail if you were pregnant. Even at 16 you need to make your own decisions concerning whether or not you are ready to be a parent, and unfortunately, he would be a part of that too. Not much help sitting in jail for years.
That's just my opinion I hoped it helped.
P.S. tell the boyfriend to research what the consequences of his actions will be, and concentrate on yourself.

Your parents can press charges for this, if they want. However, if they knew about the relationship - WOW, I don't know! I feel bad that your childhood is about to leave. You will be a mother now. I've heard of girls dating and not getting pregnant by much older men. Sometimes they do the right thing and get married and nothing ever happens. I'd suggest if you and your boyfriend are serious (well, now that a baby's here, you have to be more serious, anyway). I'd suggest that the both of you have a serious talk and then approach both sets of parents about it. Perhaps you are in a state where legal age is 16 and you can have your parents sign for marriage. First of all how in the world can you be having sex with a 21 year old man???? That is what he is a MAN!!!!! He should be ashamed of himself. Do your parents know that he is 21 years old? If they don't and they find out he will be thrown in jail if they notify the police. If they don't call the police then, he still has some chances of going to jail for having sex with a minor even when it was consentual. They are going to find out his age when he signs the birth certificate and fills out hospital information. What? Is he now scared? He should of thought about that before he had sex with a 16 yr. old. I am not trying to be harsh on you and you need to tell your parents like right NOW!!!!! because your body is so young and you need to see a Dr. right away to make sure that your going to get the proper care. Don't worry about your boyfriend right now because who knows if he is going to stick around or avoid all of it so he doesn't go to jail. I hope all goes your way and tell your parents now, they are the only ones who can help you .

I'm sorry to hear that your pregnant at your young age, but since you made the choice to have unprotected sex, you will have to make the sacrifice now to raise your baby the best you can. Hopefully your family will assist you with your new baby. As far as you b/f, he may be in very bad trouble. I do not want to give you bad information that will get you into trouble more, but you can tell your parents that you do not know who the father is,(I know it makes you look like a tramp, but if you really love this guy and do not want to see him going to jail, then just lie about the whole thing). Your main concern now is the little life that you have inside you, please do everything in your powers to protect your baby. Good luck to you sweetie.

He will be mandated to pay child support for the next 18 years. Your child will struggle and you will more than likely have more children. GO to the doctor and get on birth control. Be responsible! Stay in school so you can one day pay your own way and not have others be responsible for you and you children.
Oh yes your boyfriend should go to jail and his future is crap, Your parents should be kicked in the butt for allowing you to date or even be in a room alone with a 21 year old sperm factory,

well lets see first of 16 will get you 20 in prison. hes gonna have a rough time there to they dont like child molesters ive heard. why would a 21 year old man want a 16 year old girl. this sicko needs to be locked up if youre not prego than youre lucky you should breack it off with him

Hopefully go to jail. You may "love" him, but he is still a pedaphile! And in jail, he'll really know what it feels like to be taken advantage of.
And if you don't think it's sick that he is 21 and you're 16, do me a favor. When you're 21, try picturing yourself with a 16 year old boy and tell my you don't feel disgusted with it.

Hey U r just 16 and being pregnant before 18 is a crime He will be charged with crimnal offences if u don't abort this child before hand.Having physical intimacy with a minor is a crime too and he will have to be severely punished if u don't abort this child.Anyways,didn't u take precautions before getting physical.And being pregnant at 16 is so cheap man.R u guys so desperate for sex at this age?Think of ur studies now sex,marriage and men can wait but u have to build a career and education background has to be built.

Talk to a lawyer about the law where you live. The age of consent is the issue legally and in MOST states it is different. There is no set rule. Call a lawyer and explain what is going on and what you want.
