Seriously, I've only ever eaten at Applebee's once and didn't like it at all. It's not that I have a problem with chains or with inexpensive restaurants, but I just thought the food was pretty inferior to that of T.G.I.Friday's (and Dingbat's, a local chain I patronize back in Pittsburgh when I'm home for the holidays). Mind you, this was some years ago and I haven't been to Friday's in a while either, so maybe things have changed, but...if it came to a choice between Applebee's and Wendy's or Taco Hell, I wouldn't pick Applebee's!

Saturday night I had steak w/shrimp skewers. And half a crab cake, since I always end up having to finish part of g/f's food.
I love their mashed potatoes.

I just went yesterday and I got some salad with candied pecans on it with chicken strips cut into small pieces topped with a nice vinaigrette
