Here's my answer :-


I think they earn a fair salary , their careers are not very long and they want to make the most of their short career !!. It's very risky too , If you don't play well the coach will immediately show you the door , and then ....... . I disagree that they don't earn enough becuase 100,000,000 $ or more is moooorrrrrrrrre than enough for a year ( correct me if i am wrong )!

Well since Football is a an art and priviledge, it is good that they are paid well.

The problem is that this has become a business. Players thake advantadge of that so they ask for high contracts just for the money and not for the sport (art).

How many times have I seen a player play well and get a great contract just to take the money and play poorly.

I think I'll pick the third one.They earn a fair salary.They are paid a lot of money just to play football,it may not sound fair,but think of all the hard work those football players do just to present us a wonderful game!

lol all i have to say is that i wish that i was making millions of dollars a year like them i would say they earn either a fair salary or too much because they do train hard and work very hard to keep in top physical shape and it is definately hard work no doubt but i dunno about the millions and millions they make like there are many other maore demanding and respectable positions where people dont make anywhere near as much as them so it is debatable but over all lets just say they are all quite well off :)

in general i think its fair, but it depends...like some players i think earn too much for their class and quality of play.... and some players earn less than they deserve! but in general i think its fair cuz these players are at a level of football which is the highest in the world, the things that these players can do are fantastic! their abilites are Wondeful, and look how many people look up to these players and the money people pay to watch them play, so hell yeah i think its fair, but as i said depends and varies from a player to player depending on the quality of the player.

Nowadays players are getting started younger and younger, perhaps b/c of the money.

Most of them earn too much for how much they actually do; and on top of that, they are paid extra if they do ads and interviews and stuff.

Just an example: Alessandro Nesta earms 3 million Pounds = $6M = 4.45 million euros a year!!!

for soccer players, they do earn alot! i mean an engineer or a doctor who busted his *** studying 4 or 5 years in college doesn't earn 25% of what a soccer player makes a year!
(let's say a soccer player makes 10 million $ from his club).

as a kid you dream of playing for your favorite football team, and at that point you would probably play for free. then as you grow up you mature and realize your dream. while the rest of your school chums who were instrumental in teaching you your skill,are sweating in a fast food joint or petrol station,or maybe work in an office, combine all of those salaries and you still get paid more in a week than they get in a year. Ballack,Shevchenko,£130,000 a week. IF THEY WORKED A 40 HOUR WEEK (which they don't) that equates to £3250 an hour.the average monthly salary in the UK IS LESS THAN HALF OF THAT.
So back to your question, they get paid way too much.
