Get about $100 worth of cement and fill it and it will stay filled, not sink be cool after that?

Without knowing any details with regard to the well other than a width, I suggest the fill hasn't completely settled yet. Even with a compacting tool the soil is only compacted to a depth of 3 to 6 inches,,, pretty shallow when you consider that a well can be as deep as 200 ft.

Here in Florida, sink holes abound and concrete is often used at some stage of back filling and repair, but whatever soil is dumped in, still has to have settling time. In your case it may be that the well walls are very stable, but in not knowing the depth of a well with an opening that large, and not knowing what you used to fill it with to whatever point, I'd suggest $100 worth of concrete isn't the answer,,, YET!.

I doubt it.. it will settle until the void is flled and stabilized.. better fence the area off and bring in some more fill dirt..

Don't waste money....fill in with dirt untill settleing has stopped.
