All are okay, but if you are writing a formal essay for school, you should not say "In a nutshell." It is a cliche, and too informal for a class paper.

By the way, "everyone" and "anyone" and other such indefinite pronouns that end with "one" are always singular, even when it doesn't sound right.

These are correct, but the last one; 'In a nutshell' - a more accurate description for that would be : To summarise.
