I wasn't able to find the exact cost in $ for the bike online, so I am assuming here.

the cost of a 1000cc bike is approximately $12,000 on an avearage. this translates to INR 5.6 L . Import duties in India are 120% on bikes. This ups the cost to 12L.

Yeah, i know 120% import duties suck. The govt says its to give indian manufacturers the competitive advantage, but the best we can get in India in terms of sports bikes is a 220cc bike (karizma).
