Yes there are other things that could cause your period to be late. Pregnancy is the most common, but I have skipped many due to cysts that I never knew I had until I consulted my gynecologist. If you really are concerened go to your gynocologist or to the health department as their tests are more accurate than the normal ones you buy at the drugstore. Good luck to you.

Definately go in to the doctor and get some blood tests done. Those tests are not always accurate, esp if you have lower than normal horomone levels- which is something that needs to get checked out.
Some other reasons for skipping a period- too skinny, too overwieght, cysts, and some people are always irregular unless on birth control. I have a friend that even on birth control, will usually only menstrate every 2 months or so, but she has always been like that.

In very few cases a pregnancy test will not work for certain people. Try going to the Doc and getting a blood test....It wont lie to you!!!
Also if your not preggo they can give you something to kick your period into gear!
