I'm for your integration in ue...But if the Turkish governement and also the others European Countries doesn't want Turkey integration...I think the better solution is to stop this process....

First, I think being a Muslim Turk or a Christian one brings a different opinion on the matter. Now I'm not a Turk, but I'm a Christian, and the way I see it, probably that part of the Turkish people who favor such a membership is mostly the Christian, regarding they're the minority in Turkey and Europe is (basically) predominantly Christian, which would probably help promote; strengthen and sustain Christian Turks on all national levels.
If you're a Muslim I would understand why you wouldn't want anything to do with it, especially if you're an opposer to the current government's policies, which tends to establishing Western relations, apparently more than it does to Eastern.
As to who needs who, I can't be too helpful clearing that out to you; it's more of a personal opinion to each and every individual, should they be Turks; European, or even completely alien.
My view on this is that most Europeans too, wouldn't favor the idea of a predominantly Muslim nation joining their lines, which might necessitate (in the future) some sort of ammendments on certain laws to make them consistent with the new religious affiliation joining their constitutions.

Ok so if Turkey does not need Europe why do we even discuss about it. It's funny Turks believe the bs that Europe needs 70 million poor muslims with a violent past and present to roam free in the EU. The Turkish people should be pushing like crazy to get into EU. This is the only way their country will become more prosperous and democratic. Instead they believe their army giving them all the bs about Cyprus being theirs and that the Armenians are lying and that the Kurds want to destroy them etc. The Turks need to wake up and see that their army is ruling their country. Leading them to a militaristic path causing problems with every country next to them. Now the EU should not allow this militaristic gov to have their way. If it really wants to help Turkey it needs to be strict and force them to comply with all EU norms. If Turks cannot take it fair enough EU has nothing to lose.

Since many or most Turks, like yourself, don't care for the EU, why should EU citizens worry about the issue?
I know the Swiss are glad they vetoed membership in 1992. Then the vote was close; they would vote massively against if the referendum were held today.

Even without reunification, Turkey must recognize Cyprus. Obviously without that ascension is a non-starter. In my opinion, thank god for Erdogan, because the West needs an integrated Muslim country to show the compatibility of Islam and the West.

I'm in favor. It would lead to increased trade, which would be beneficial for Turkey and the rest of the EU, as well as lead to better understanding with present EU countries, including (of course) Greece. Which would be a good thing indeed. Might forestall silliness such as the Greek "enosis" business over Cyprus a few decades back.

I'm still fuzzy on the geographical terms.
How is Turkey a part of Europe?
Does this land mass include Russia too?
Forgive my soft cortex for not understanding this.
