there are 3 simple things to keep in mind when preparing for exams:
1) concentrate on what you r studying. and when i mean concentration, i refer to complete dedication during study time as soon as the book is on ur lap.
2)after a study time, take a rough note book and write that which u have studied point to point. and also write those which u dont understand sothat u can ask that later to friends or parents coz that may be an important subject
3)be sure that you get complete 7 hours of sleep during exam days and 8 hrs of sleep during study holidays. coz without sufficient sleep u would not be able to use ur full potential. how much ever u study, rest gives u confidence and clarity in mind

ALL THE BEST

if u r a cbse student, it is easier. i hav gone through this just 8 or 9 months back. make the max use of the 4 or 5days b4 the maths exam. science is quite easy and u will get a lot of hols for it. so no need to worry abt that. and for the whole academic year, u should practise maths periodically, completing the portions tought that day or week thoroughly. for science i think it is enough to excel in it for the monthly or terminal exams only. that will b enough. for all the others, the day b4 the exam is enough. if u r a very serious, studious, hardworking person, then dont listen 2 whatever i have said. this theory is what i did. i enjoyed every evening playing, a movie a fortnight, and lots of net and tv. shud learn 2 enjoy and have fun and also get good marks. i got 456 total and 96 in maths. thats enough for me.
