Hi everybody. I am at least in 5-6 days delay for my period. Have some symptoms of pregnancy (at least they are so close to the description). I have both EPT and First Responce preg test. Which is better to use (I mean which of them is more accurate)? And in general, after how many days delay is it better to use them? Thanks in advance and good luck.

Well it depends on what test versions you have of each one.

e.p.t. (with | | results window) 50mIU sensitivity
e.p.t. (with + or - results window) 25mIU sensitivity
e.p.t. Certainty 50mIU sensitivity

First Response Early Result (older, rectangular-window version) 25mIU sensitivity
"disappearing positives" are negative results

First Response Early Result (newer, oval-window version) 25mIU sensitivity
new test design appears more reliable than old

First Response One Step 100mIU sensitivity

Although, if you are 5-6 days late you shouldn't have a problem getting a positive with either brand.

I like EPT but in all honesty it doesn't really matter. I once bought a test from the dollar store when I was one day late and it worked just fine....I have a 18 month old to prove it...LOL. Of course you should use what you feel most comfortable with. Either one you choose should give you the correct results being that you are 5-6 days late. I hope it turns out well for you. :-)

They both are very sensitive as far as detecting HCG levels, I think they both can pick up a positive result as low as 25 hcg. They are both very accurate so either one should test positive if you have not gotten your period. My own personal preference is EPT, they seemed to have worked better as far as getting a positive and less false negatives. I hope that helps. But I would take one and if its negative wait a couple days and test again! Good luck!

From my own experiences, even the cheapest pregnancy tests work extra well. I have both dollar store pregnancy tests for a dollar and been told I was pregnant after I realized I missed my period. Its all a namebrand thats all...doesnt do much different if you ask me.

I have used both but if I had to chose one it would be the First Response. It may detect smaller amounts of HcG.

all test are accurate, you could go to the dollar store and get one for a dollar and it does the same job as the ones you pay $10 for
