Yes in a way...but I'm trying to think in this way...we are in the gods hand...and I feel more calm.

Obviously and Absolutely. When we leave our homes, almost everyone locks and even double locks their doors. In the car, a moving vehicle- we make sure to lock the doors. Virtually every bank in Metropolitan areas has a armed security guard or off-duty/on-duty Police Officer on site. ETC ETC ETC

YES, Fear of Crime has an impact.

People don't even look each-other in the eyes walking down the street!

for alot of people yes. i hardly every think about it. what will be will be. i think the police and the government are pretty usefless.

i've seen guys selling drugs in the street corner = no police!

seen whores selling themselves on the street, many young girls with drug problems = no police!

seen a guy make a wrong turn = plenty of police!

war on drugs is a joke and it's the drug problem that's the root of alot of this cr*p.

so to answer your question - incompetence, laziness, "i don't care because it's not happening in my neighborhood mentality" by the police and our ever-watchful government is impacting on our everyday lives in the most horrific ways.
