I like Sara-Loren for a girl but my partner is adamant that he has never heard of the name! Is there anyone out there with a daughter with this name, or knows someone called Sara-Loren, and if not what do you truthfully think of the name??? Thank-you!!!

My partner and I are not married but we've decided the baby will take his surname - McMaddison. I like the idea of having Loren as the middle name, I think that goes quite nicely Sara Loren McMaddison.

I've heard the name Loren before and I really like the combination, with the last name and all. I don't like the hyphen though, not that it makes a difference. My first and middle name are hyphenated on my birth cirtificate but on every other legal document it isn't. I actually didn't even know it was hyphenated until a few months ago (I'm 22)

I have a friend who's daughters name is Sarah-Jean but everyone calls her just Sarah. Most people don't even know about the "jean" part of the name. To me..using the whole first name of Sara-Loren sounds like you are calling the child by her first and middle name or even last name with that spelling. It does not glide like a name like Mary Anne.
Why not just name her Sara Loren with Loren being her middle name?

I like the combination. It is very simple but unique. However, I do like the spelling Sara Lauren better for Loren looks like Lo-reen. But congratulations and I hope you have a safe delivery and a healthy baby.

I recommend that you lose the hyphen and go with Sara Loren (Last Name).
As a first name, its horrible and sounds very pretentious.
Very good name for a girl and a woman.

I've never heard the name. I think that if you're going to join together two names they should flow. Is Loren, Lauren? I think just give her a traditional beautiful name, like Cassandra, etc. It's mesmerizing.

Loren is the masculine form of Lauren. It's a boy's name.

I have heard of Ralph Lauren and Sophia Lauren but not Sara Loren. But what does it matter if he has never heard of it, its just a matter of do you like it. For me its different I don't care what my partner says, when he can push the babies out he can name them. otherwise its all my decision.

I've never heard of then 2 names used together but I've heard of them separately though, I'm not a fan of hyphenate names, they always get shortened and most times are just a waste of time even giving the kid the 2nd name, it never gets used.
I think you should think up one really good name instead of using 2 average names together

I know of no one with this name...and maybe it's a guy thing but the names really don't sound right together. I agree that you should pick either the first or middle name and he gets to pick the other...but they have to sound like they belong together

It is a nice name but too long just for a first name. Why don't you call her Sarah or Lauraine just different spelling from what you already got.
