Will be no longer have answers. Do you think its because they couldn't compete with Yahoo's answers site?

I read it in my local paper in the connect section. The heading reads; Google throws in the towel, gets out of answer business. And it actually said that Yahoo appears to have outsmarted Google with a free online answer service that has grown rapidly

I tried to go on the website and it had the message that they were retiring. I thought it was in poor taste that they would charge so much for a question to be answered! It makes me appreciate Yahoo Answers more than ever!

I'm not really sure as to why this is. It's probably because we are the best, most admirable group of people that any group of questions & answers could hope for, and we choose to be here instead of Google.
