disconnect the battery 1st, loosen the alternator belt tensioner bolt, disconect the wires going to the alternator, remove the alternator, replace with new or rebuilt alternator, connect wires & bolt, align alternator to belt and tension the belt to the alternator.

What do you need to know. It's mounted on top of the motor in the middle. Losen the belt tensioner to the right I think. and unplug the wires. and only two bolts hold it on.

Be sure your battery is charged up. You can ruin an alternator by hooking it to a dead battery the first time.
