actualy i sri lanka as u may know here 20 years of civil war, but lot of thinhs it is terrorism.but it is not true. absolutely the tamils have been handled brutually by the majority sinhalese. 60000 tamil have been killed in this war.

Its is brutal and can never be justified. SL government is a heartless, brutal, racist government controlled by people with no flesh, no feeling with just dead bones. They are responsible for all the massacre of Tamils.
Everyone should take time to educate your self what the truth is. Civil war has been going on for more that 20 years and the internal community have not taken any action with the exception of Norway to resolve the war.
If you have not heard about the war in sri lanka, about all the innocent people that have died and are still dying you should consider investing little bit of time to educate your self.

The discrimination against Tamils is going on since the advent of Bandaranayage(husband of Sirimavo Bandaranayage)when he downgraded Tamil and made Sinhala the official language of the then Ceylon in 1956.Native Tamils and the repatriated Tamils(Tea Plantation workers from India) are being treated as second class citizens there on.The dissent was not addressed by the Sinhalese majority Govt, which ultimately started erupting after 1980.
This is the reason for the Tamils taking to Extremism. Many lives are being lost since thenThe International community must understand and help solve the problem

I have read THE ISLAND OF BLOOD by Anita Pratap, and I felt how they are going through.Its a battle against humanity. Pirabakaran, the leader of tamils was doing a great job in the early 80s and now i dont know whatever happened to him.Without him the survival of tamils will be at stake.
The battle concentrates largely on Jaffna and the border areas.
Most people are unaware of the devestating war in Sri Lanka, as the media is buzy focussing on other wars around the world.

It is the first time I hear of it, so I have no idea of what the situation is really like. All I can say is, if I have never heard of it, then the international community is not very well informed. Living in Europe, I have never ever heard of the issue.

yes i know about this little bit...
the main problem for this war and all of these issues were by Buddhist monks who were having the hidden control of SL Govt...
actually there tamilians were asking for a independence since from 20years.. but these sinhalese Govt n monks were building up still now this issue for their political benefits...
but normal civilians of SL were kinded and filled with humanity..
all were caused by those selfish politicians...
