Why are there more black Democrats in jail then any other race or party?

Blacks are a minority yet they make up most of the prison population.
Felons vote Democratic.

IS IT THAT ENTITLEMENTS DO NOT WORK AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSISTING THEY GET JOBS AND MARRY THEIR WOMEN A LONG TIME AGO.

Felons and dead people vote Democrat. It is a well established fact!

Most black felons are Democrat simply because most blacks are Democrat. Not rocket science.

For all those giving me thumbs down, you either need to read my answer more carefully or you need to read a book. Around 90% of blacks voted Democrat in 2000 and 2004. So if you consider that a disproportionate percentage of felons are black, it makes sense that most black felons are going to be Democrat. What don't you understand about this?

Poor people commit more crimes. Poor people are less likely to be able to afford competent representation in our justice system. So you have the twin problems of being more likely to commit crimes, and not having resources when you don't, or not being able to mitigate the consequences as well as someone better off.

Blacks are disproportionally poor because we live in a society that had set policies of institutionalized racism for over 400 years, which simply can't be reversed in a couple of decades, particularly when those who enjoy the benefits of those previous policy play the victim when there's any attempt to balance the playing field, or to try and make sure the kids of the next generation get a fighting chance. Our society is still not racially neutral, economically.

It's about race, but moreso it's about economics.

As far as policy affiliation, yes, the Republicans are mainly the party of the wealthiest white segment of the population, so that would make sense that those not as well off would trend Democratic. Again, it's about the economics.

Looking at how the Republicans handle power and wealth and who commits pretty much all the white colar crime, it's difficult to claim there's something inherent in either party that makes them more law abiding.

Certainly there's nothing in the current administration to support that kind of a slant in an argument.

To start off, statutes in place mean that felons cannot vote. Second, if a certain amount of people are in prison, it's for a crime, not because of what party they're part of. Is THIS the job you keep bitching about; bitching on Yahoo! Answers?

There are not more black Democrats in jail in this country (the United States), and your lying that lie marks you as a racist despite your protests to the contrary.
