In the rest of the world, to be a democrat is the right way to live a life, but who said that Iraqis want to be democrats?
Was it a decision made by the US or Iraq?

lol. Finally a way to blame the Democratic Party for Iraq. Neoconservative Republicans invented the theory that all people want to live in a democracy, that democratic governments would lend stability to the middle east, that dictators could be deposed there and that pro "western" democracy would flower by the will of the people (and at the point of a gun)

US made the decision.
Its not possible to impose a democracy onto a country. A country has to evolve into a democracy themselves when the time is right. All developed countries had to go through the process. For example, it wouldn't have been feasable for Britain to have had a democracy during medieval times. Eventually, when the time was right, the iraqis would have had a revolution and overthrown the dictatorship. The dictatorship was necessary at that time to hold the country together. And now Iraq will be at civil war for decades.

Seriously, WOW?

Could it ne, possibly that America, set up the process to create a govt of the Iraqi people's chosing. Granted favorism to American Style Democracy. But, do you really think? It was democracy or nothing.

I do not think so, Iraq chose democracy because even with all its flaws it is better then what they had. Besides, prior to Saddam Iraq had a monarchial democracy similar to England. And, when Saddam was placed into power after the Iran-Iraq war by the USA and NATO. He decided, to take power for himself.

The USA didn't tell them they had to be democrats. The USA helped set up a process where they could establish the type of government that the people wanted, rather than one that was set up by the thugs.

It appears though that what the people want is irrelevant and the way of the Islamic thugs is the way the rest of the world prefers.

If you had remembered correctly, Iraq was 'relatively' calm after the invasion . People were cheering in the streets !! And then came 'sectarian' violence, propagated and cultured by outside forces, Syria and Iran, and AlQueda .

I'd say they really wanted democracy considering millions risked their lives to vote !!!!

Some Americans don't risk 'attending the kid's soccer game to vote' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sad yes.. . . But True !!

You can't hand over democracy over on the business end of a gun. Democracy has to be taken by the people who want it.
