Art has been made since prehistoric times - it exists in all cultures at all times and
reflects the history and culture of the people around the world. It is the original creation
of human beings since we can track human existence.

What do you think?

I think you make a valid point, but it depends what you define as art. I think that if you are just talking visual art such as cave paintings through to DaVinci, then it would be a minor loss to the culture of humanity.

Art could be seen as language, music, religion, architecture and so many other human creations that without any of them existence would not be the same. Culture is passed on through many mediums other that your traditional art forms, and the loss of all of these would be devastating.

But then again what do I know?Until this year I though a Van Gogh was some sort of German car.
