It shouldn't ,but just to be safe do a few CDs in one setting then do some more later. Just got to play it safe so you wont need to buy a new drive.

The heat and energy use of a CDR while burning is inconsequential. The motor rotating the CD takes much more current than the laser. So there is no EQUIPMENT limitation But:
All my Linux computers run 24/7. Don't try that with Windows or you'll confront the Blue Screen of Death. My computers are of no special design. They are vacuumed clean of dust accumulation about once a year. I have burned Linux ISO images nonstop - with club member labor - for days, using very old equipment.
No precautions are needed beyond the normal precaution of not using Windows for serious work. You might grab a Live CD of Linux at http://pclinuxos.com - the Big Daddy ISO - and boot from the CD to use the K3b software for your project. Install to hard drive for even more speed.
Just insert the first CDR. Start K3b. Dial in 50 copies. Change the CDR 49 times.
Since such an awesome amount of software comes with that Linux distribution, here's how to run K3b (the mouse clicks):
Start | Applications | Archiving | Cd burning | K3b
Right click on the K3b menu choice to add the link to your desktop or the task bar. Burn and have fun!

No it wont damage the cd burner at all. But the system might get overheated if u run it continuously for more than 20 hours. An hour rest in between would solve ur problem

Yeah, most likely
Like anything else, it will be disintegrated after much abuse.
lol. My Physics teacher said that.
It will most probably only overheat, but after that, it will still function but at reduced efficiency, methinks. An overheating drive could overheat your system so watch out. Plus, CDs aren't so reliable with an even less reliable drive, so watch it
Just give it a break, cool it down after 2 - 4 CDs. Don't overdo it.
Remember, a machine cannot extend beyond its limits. We CAN.
