My sunfire died in october. It keeps bucking like it is not getting enough power. It is @ 100,000 and I think the spark plugs need to be changed. my car has also died, we changed the alternator and that got it to run again. When we decided to change the spark plugs, we couldn't find them! Like i said, my engine is a 2.4 which most sunfire has a 2.2 and when I bought it, I didn't know it had an engine up grade. So even if we wanted to change anything it becomes a hassel with this engine.

I don't know why your having trouble finding plugs for this. Most GM engines take the same Delco plug part #. Any GM dealer and any parts store worth a damn will have cases of these.

As for removal and replacement, it really is pretty simple, you just have to remove the cover over the top of the engine and the plugs will be exposed. Be gentle though as the coil packs and spark plug tubes are part of the cover (lift straight up).

hi The spark plugs do no longer leak oil ... What you have it a leaking valve cover gasket.. its an uncomplicated restoration.. in the adventure that your spark plugs are in the middle suitable of the valve cover there are some "o" jewelry shop the oil out of the spark plug section and those would be undesirable.. if the plugs are in the part of the pinnacle then its only the valve cover gasket.. the oil is seeping via the plugs threads into the cylinder inflicting the smoke at start up and while working. Its to no longer severe of a situation only fouling plugs. shop a watch on the oil point. stable success Tim

There is a cover on top of the valve cover. It looks like part of the valve cover. When you remove this cover, the cover and the ignition coils come with it, exposing the spark plugs. On the older versions of this motor it used to say Quad 4. Not sure if your model says this.

Its probably under a cover. You may have to remove it too see. The cover will be in the center of the engine. and probably have 2.4l written on it.
