This really depends on what type of leather it is.
If it is on a pigmented leather then the first thing you should try is an ink stick (available from LTT as below or telephone 01423 881027). The fresher the ink the more chance you have of removing it. It is a good idea to have one in your house if you have a pale leather and children!!!!
You should also be using a good quality leather protector on a pale suite. This will act like a 'scotchgard' and will make any more mishaps easier to clean off.
If an ink stick doesn't work a solvent based remover will need to be used and it may also remove finish and pigment so is best left to the experts.
Hairspray sometimes works but can also make the matter far worse as it can spread the ink over a bigger area. Nail varnish remover or any other solvents will remove the finish and pigment which will need replacing.
DO NOT USE Baby wipes as theyare about the worst thing you can use on a leather sofa as they break down the finish and will eventually ruin your suite.
If the ink is on an aniline style, there is nothing that will remove it because the ink will have re-dyed the leather. It may dissipate over time with cleaning and protecting.
Old ink will be harder to remove than new ink and may mean resorting to solvents which will also remove the finish. This is probably best left to the experts.

Didn't you get a leather care kit with your sofa? If not try a furniture shop, they should do them. The products are especially for cleaning leather. If you have no luck there, then maybe try some fabric softener like comfort diluted in water. My friend used to use that on hers all the time, she has a young son who used to leave all kinds of marks on her sofa. It has no bleach in it, and it also leaves your sofa smelling nice!

Have you tried a leather cleaning product? You can get some excellent ones from your local Halfords (the kind for cleaning leather car interiors) which are delicate enough for cleaning off stains without removing the leather's colour. Hope this helps!

It sounds funny, but hot sour milk will do it. The hotter and sourer the better. Just dab at the stain with it then wipe it with a clean damp cloth to get rid of the milk. It wont discolour the leather if you dont leave it on.

Why don't you try baby wipes. I have used them to get stains out of all sorts, even red wine. Give it a go.
