Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.
I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:
* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll
* I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
* I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen
* The Best Internet Businesses You Can Start by Marian Betancourt
* The Shoestring Entrepreneur's Guide to Internet Start-Ups by Robert Spiegel
* Making a Living Without a Job : Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love by Barbara Winter
I also posted some article links in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

The sky is the limit! I know lots of people who go to yard sales often and pick up items for 25 cents , 50 cents (dirt cheap) they in turn put it on ebay and make big bucks. Just had a friend tell me this week that she bought a purse for 50 cents and got over 140.00 on ebay for it. You can start that with ebay fees and all at about 5 bucks. Cant beat that!
Best of luck to you!

My husband and I were in the same situation, we wanted something real, and that would help us make a little extra because we have a handicapped child and his needs are high! We went to a seminar, and it was the best thing we ever did, two months into it and have already made our investment back, it is publicly traded and has a bill of rights.

it depends upon which country you stay in ... mostly govts of all countries encourage new business proposals .. simply coz it boosts their economy ... you could check out with your local banks ... dont forget to compare their interest rates first .. also consult your friends about these banks and how they handle bad debts ... you need to choose a bank which is nice ... both in terms of interest rates and after loan services.... also you need to find a bank which is near your house or near your work place ... so that you can always dropin for a quick consultation.... before you approach the bank ... make sure your paper work is done and you have credible knowledge about your business and how its gonna help you repay the loan ... and how much period of time you would take to repay the loan.... hope this answer helped you.

Starting anything needs a will & achieving the same will need determination. However you will have to specific of the place you are & the range of capital or funds available with you. There is always an opportunity around you. It needs to be spotted.
